Overview

On a large solar farm, the schedule is won or lost at the foundations. Terra SP is a single-post ground mount solar racking system that puts one pile-driven post under each panel table — a fraction of the foundation points of a multi-post system. Fewer points means fewer pile-driving shifts, less steel in the ground, and less ground disturbance across the array.

Installation follows a simple sequence: drive the post, mount the pre-assembled table structure, snap the panels on. Posts go straight into the ground with no concrete and no curing wait, on flat land, gentle slopes, and farmland alike. Above ground, the structure is aluminum — light to carry and naturally corrosion-resistant. Below, the post is steel, sized to carry a full table on a single support. Snap-on clamps secure each panel without special tools and cut panel installation time by up to 30%.

Terra SP mounts utility-scale solar farms worldwide, and every project is engineered to its site: wind and snow loads are calculated per location and verified to JIS C 8955, ASCE/SEI 7 and IBC, or Eurocode EN 1991. Megawa Solar backs the system with a 12-year warranty and a 25-30 year design life. Send your site layout and target capacity, and our engineers will design and quote the array for your project.

Key Advantages

One Post per Table

A single pile-driven post carries each panel table — a fraction of the foundation points of multi-post systems. Fewer points means fewer pile-driving shifts, less steel in the ground, and a faster path to a finished array.

Driven In, No Concrete

Posts drive straight into the ground. No digging, no concrete, no curing wait — foundations are ready for the structure the same day, on flat land, slopes, or farmland.

Panels Snap On, 30% Faster

Snap-on mid and end clamps lock each panel to the rail without special tools, cutting panel installation time by up to 30% across thousands of modules.

Strong Below, Light Above

The load-bearing post is steel; everything above it is aluminum. Crews handle light, corrosion-resistant parts all day, while the single support below is sized to carry the full table.

Frequently Asked Questions

For commercial and utility-scale projects, ground mount is usually the best option: you get the ideal tilt and orientation, easy maintenance access, and large, dense layouts a roof can't match. A single-post system like Terra SP adds speed — one pile-driven post per table, no concrete — which matters most when thousands of tables must go in before a deadline.
Each table stands on one post instead of several, so there are far fewer foundation points across the site. Fewer points means fewer pile-driving shifts, less material, and less ground disturbance. Panel installation is faster too: snap-on clamps cut module install time by up to 30%.
The standard foundation is a pile-driven post — driven straight into the ground, no concrete, no curing wait. Ground screws and concrete foundations are available where soil conditions require them. We recommend a soil test before installation, and every project gets a site-specific structural calculation.
Each material does what it is best at. The post that carries the load into the ground is steel; the girders, rails, and clamps above are aluminum — light to handle and naturally corrosion-resistant. The result is a structure strong enough to stand on a single support and easy for crews to work with.
The design tilt range is 0° to 30°, fixed per project design — your array is engineered at the angle your site and yield model call for. Modules mount in portrait or landscape, framed or frameless. Ground clearance is designed per project, with no fixed limit.
Terra AL is the all-aluminum choice for corrosive environments and easy handling. Terra ZAM uses coated steel for heavy loads at a lower cost. Terra FLEX follows sloped and uneven land without grading. Terra SP puts each table on a single pile-driven post — the fastest build when foundations must be few and the schedule is tight. Send us your site conditions and we'll recommend the right fit.
Yes. Post height, tilt, table size, and ground clearance are engineered per project, and we adapt the system to your modules and layout. OEM and ODM manufacturing is also available for partners who need mounting systems built to their own specification.
We provide installation guides, drawings, and dedicated support through your build. Structural calculation is available for industrial projects — wind and snow loads verified to JIS C 8955, ASCE/SEI 7 and IBC, or Eurocode EN 1991. Share your project details and we'll design and quote for your site.
